The place is nice, service is extremely slow and imprecise. The poor girl was alone on a Saturday morning, struggling to get the orders done. I had to wait 10 minutes to take the order and another 10 to get my latte (I had ordered "The Hub" latte, and I got a regular latte instead, which tasted good, but still had no Dulce De Leche in it) and the croissant I had was mediocre. I can't really blame the server, she was left alone. The group after me had to wait at least 20 minutes in line and God knows how much longer to get their drinks. Extremely poorly managed.
This is my favorite coffee shop in Cochrane. The coffee and food is all freshly homemade and is delicious! Staff is friendly and the environment is relaxing and comfortable. They have a few boardgames if you're interested, a fireplace to sit by, beautiful decor that is bright and stylish. It seems to be a hidden gem as it's often quiet in there and when I ask people if they've been to The Hub, they usually haven't heard of it... so I make sure to tell them what I love about it. I encourage you to go! It's great for a date, coffee with the girls, a quiet place to work, mom & son date, or take out.
The cookies are yummy. I had an Americano and it didn't taste very good. So I will try a different coffee next time.
I recently visited The Hub as my first outing on my own after a serious motor vehicle accident. I felt so relieved at being able to move past my fear and drive again and told the barista who was serving me. She was so friendly and understanding to me and my children and when I was leaving she gave me a gift card with words of encouragement on it. That meant more to me than she will ever know and it helped me be able to continue on my road to recovery. The Chai Latte was also the best I ever had! It was a wonderful first experience back out into the world Thank you so much! You made my day!
Charming service. Great chai tea latte. Comfortable seating. Quiet out of the way secret place. Will return!
